Walter H. White (Bryan Cranston), a high school chemistry teacher in New Mexico, is the only source of income for a struggling family. For most of his life, he lived a peaceful and diligent life, but on his 50th birthday, he suddenly learned the terrible news of being diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, which made his already difficult life even worse.
In order to ensure that his pregnant wife Schuyler (played by Anna Gunn) and disabled son Walter can live comfortably after his death, Walter is determined to take a risk. He took the initiative to find Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul), a former student and now a drug trafficker, to collaborate, and used his skilled chemical techniques to extract high-purity methamphetamine for him to sell.
Unexpectedly, the situation took a sharp turn for the worse after Pinkman brought back the drug dealer Crazy Eight and his cousin, and Walter's life completely spiraled out of control. He was forced to start a dual life of teaching and drug manufacturing, gradually falling into an irreparable abyss.
